Software Engineer
Department: Engineering
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (extra hours maybe required)
Work Type: Regular Full Time Position
You must be able to pass a drug screen and submit two documents for proof of legal employment authorization and identity to work in the USA.
SUMMARY: Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
- Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software systems.
- Coordinates installation of software systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Experience developing with Microsoft Visual Studio technologies including C#, C++, and VB .Net
- Experience with Java, ASP .Net, ASP, JavaScript, XML and VB 6 preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented languages and object-oriented design techniques
- Strong knowledge of relational database technology from a development perspective
